It’s hard to believe that just over six months ago, we were putting the finishing touches on our play cafe and nervously preparing for the grand opening. Now, as we reflect on this whirlwind half-year, it’s clear that the journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. You never know how people are going to use your space until they use your space.
From the moment our doors opened, our play cafe has been a hive of activity. We’ve hosted well over 200 kids' parties, with March alone seeing an incredible 41 parties! Each party has been a testament to the vibrant, joyful spirit of our community. We’ve had the privilege of watching countless children’s faces light up as they celebrated birthdays, milestones, and everyday victories within our walls.
The sheer volume of events and visitors has been both exhilarating and humbling. We’ve served thousands of people, and with each interaction, we’ve felt the warmth and support of our community. From the excited chatter of kids to the grateful smiles of parents, every day has been a reminder of why we embarked on this adventure in the first place.
But it’s not just about the numbers. What’s made these six months truly special is the way our cafe has become a gathering place—a haven for families and friends to come together and create lasting memories. Whether it’s a birthday bash, a play date, or a quiet coffee break, our cafe has become a space where connections are made and cherished.
We’re incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm and support we’ve received. It’s been a whirlwind of organizing events, managing bookings, and ensuring every detail is perfect, but seeing the joy on our visitors’ faces makes it all worth it. We’ve learned a lot along the way—about running a business, about the needs of our community, and about the importance of flexibility and creativity.
